Leather is a highly durable and long-lasting material. It develops a fine patina over time and can last a lifetime with the right care. Leather is made from tanned animal hides. There are different types of leather, depending on the animal species, varying from soft to particularly robust. We only use leather that is chrome-free. Chromium is a heavy metal used in conventional tanning that is harmful to both the environment and workers. The tannery, we are working with, is a gold rated member of the Leather Working Group (LWG). All production steps take place in Turkey, from farm to factory. By keeping the supply chain short, local and transparent we know exactly where this product was made, reduce its greenhouse gas footprint and are able to work with our suppliers to always do better.

CARE

  • Leather is both hard-wearing and sensitive. You should keep leather away from humidity, rain, heat and chemicals. If your leather piece gets wet, let it air dry at room temperature.

  • Be careful to protect your piece from sharp objects and surfaces which can scratch and damage it.

  • Allow leather articles to air out after wearing and avoid direct sunlight.

  • If you need to conduct emergency cleaning or remove light stains, you can wipe the surface with a lightly moistened cloth.

  • The safest option to clean leather items is to take them to a specialist leather dry cleaner.

  • Use a special leather conditioner to keep the leather supple and well-cared for. Apply a small amount of the product with a cloth and work it in carefully.

  • When travelling, you can roll up your leather piece to avoid wrinkles.
