POLYAMIDE

Polyamide fibers are durable, waterproof, and breathable, making them ideal for blends. Discover how to care for them properly.

Polyamide, commonly known as Nylon, is a synthetic fiber originally used for parachutes and now popular in clothing. Since synthetic fibers release microplastics during washing, we recommend using a GuppyFriend wash bag to minimize environmental impact.

Care Instructions:
  • Check the Label: Always follow the care instructions for specific handling related to color, print, and construction.
  • Washing: Machine wash polyamide garments at temperatures no higher than 40°C. For an eco-friendly option, washing at 30°C with a bleach-free detergent is often sufficient.
  • Drying: Air dry polyamide garments to prevent shrinking. Avoid using heat to dry the fabric.
  • Ironing: By following these care tips, you can keep your cotton garments looking their best and extend their lifespan.
